The Need
The idea behind KinetiCoach came from three military fighter pilots who often traveled around the world, and needed a way to quickly create a workout in a place with limited, or no availability of workout equipment. The classic, hotel-gym predicament. When the client came to us, they had been looking for a new developer, one who had the experience to help them expand the concept outside of just the original iPhone platform.
The Solution
The first order of business for Epic was to fortify the app’s infrastructure and revamp the payment model to support long-term growth and broader user adoption. With scalability in mind, we restructured backend systems to handle increasing user demand and in-app purchases more efficiently. Next, Epic completely overhauled the app’s user interface, creating a clean, intuitive experience designed for on-the-go users—whether they were in a hotel room, a park, or a home gym.
Once the new design was finalized, we expanded the platform by building a native Android app to complement the existing iOS version, opening up access to a much larger fitness audience. Throughout the process, we worked closely with the founders to ensure the app retained its military-inspired roots while introducing a fresh, modern feel that could resonate with all types of users—from traveling professionals to fitness enthusiasts seeking versatile workouts on demand.
